Buddy

|
My name is Buddy and I'm about 2 1/2 - 3 years old. I'm on the small side weighing only between about 33 - 35 lbs. I'm looking for a home with a "balanced" easy-going dog sister or brother who can be a companion to play and hang out with. My people need to be the leaders of the pack, and once I know you are, then life is a piece of cake if you remain in that leadership position! I'm smart, eager to learn, and have done well in past obedience and behavior training. I'm great in the house when left alone too - I don't bother anything I shouldn't. I'm not a barker or a jumper, and I've got an all-around pleasant and affectionate little character. I really like to play fetch with tennis balls too!
Please note that filling out the "Adoption Survey" on our website is the first step in the process. The placement guidelines used were established by the ASPCA® and their Meet Your MatchTM Canine-ality Adoption Program. We use the survey as a guideline during the interview process and to help match each dog to its happy forever home.

Mallie

|
Mallie just turned 6 years old this past April 2nd and is one of the somewhat rare, tri-colored Springers. She likes her people, is warm, affectionate, and playful, and has responded well to obedience and behavior training. Mallie can be trusted in the home when left alone. It's not known if she gets along with cats. Mallie is very smart and will do great in an environment where she knows her people are in the leadership role and not her. She would also do best in a home without children under 14 years old.

Sienna

|
Sienna is guessed between 3 & 4 years old; although her foster mom and dad think she's younger. She was found in a deplorable neglect situation, and has since come out of her shell and is showing her exuberant little self. She shows a liking for attention and cuddling. When she first arrived, she didn't know anything about play of any kind, and now chases a tennis ball and returns it. Sienna is house trained, crate trained, and is growing every day in her confidence level. She's ok with other dogs, but we think she would do best in a home if she is the only dog. She will need continued socialization with other dogs, as well as firm leadership from her new adoptive parents. Older children in the household would be ok.

Tuxedo

|
ATuxedo just turned 8 this past June 19th. He's good with other dogs depending on their temperament, not a barker or a jumper, has been obedience trained, and good with older kids who have had experience around dogs. Tuxedo is a very affectionate fellow once he's had the chance to observe and approach you after a short time. So he's a shy type of guy. It's not known if he gets along with cats, he's good in a vehicle, loves to go for hikes, walks, get in the water and play in the snow. He's very well behaved when left in the home alone. Tuxedo has an overall good attitude and would continue to do well in a home with dog experienced leaders and structure.
